About Amerindea

May Garden

I have been working on my herb garden, turning over the dirt, adding compost and cutting back old herbs. I use herbs in cooking, baths and often as gifts. I dry them and freeze them. I tuck sprays of some herbs in my closet. I keep an herb or two in my wallet. I put some inside my pillowcase. Rose petals or other flowers and herbs are usually mixed in with my bowl of gemstones. I like a couple of star anise in my bowl of stones to simulate the powers of the gemstones. There are some herbs I use that I can't grow myself and I have found dealers of fine herbs all over the world so I will always have the herb I need.

Magic Herbs

Many of you may keep a pot of basil to add to all your tomato-based dishes, but did you know that inhaling the aroma of a crushed basil leaf is wonderful for concentration. Herbs and edible flowers are a lovely addition to many dishes. They are also used in rituals.

The Magic of Gemstones and Herbs

I have introduced a few rituals and spells with herbs and gemstones, but I'm going to have more in the future. I have used gemstones and herbs for many years. Earth based rituals are strong and compelling rituals. The power of stones that have been enclosed in the earth and herbs that grow and draw their strength from the earth are a magnificent combination.

I have Star Anise coupled with a gemstone in three new kits. These can be used alone or with other kits.
