Using a wand in magic ritual

Magic or Message Wands have been used since ancient times to increase the power of spells. The pointed end of each wand directs the spell energy.

The wand is a powerful addition to have on your altar. Wands can be wrapped in silver or copper wire with other gemstones to personalize it.

Focusing Intention

The gemstone wand is one of the most powerful tools that can be used in ritual. The wand may be used for ritual spells or healing help. It is used primarily to focus the intention of the spell or healing.

Cleaning Your Wand

Before using your wand it should be cleaned of others' energies. Place the wand in a glass container and completely cover the wand with sea or Kosher salt. Leave the wand in the salt for 6 hours (it can be longer). After the 6 hours, gently rub the wand with the salt. Now place the wand in a window where it will receive the light of the next full moon. Put the wand in the window the day before the full moon and leave it there until the day after the full moon. Pour the salt down your kitchen drain, while the hot water is running.

Do not allow other people to touch your wand, if it is touched, clean it again as above. If you use your wand more than once a month it should be cleaned again. When not in use, keep your wands on your altar or wrapped in silk in a safe place.

Directing energy with your wand

Hold the point of the wand facing inward in your power hand (right for right handed people, left if you are left handed). This creates a flow through the body that balances and clears energy blocks. After a few moments, change the direction of the point or wand to face outward.
